Belly Fat Organ

It was about a year since I last posted an article on the subject of visceral fat and the news just keeps accumulating. I was thinking about this the other day. A few minutes later, I got my latest copy of "Exercise for Men Only," on page 46 and there was a column by Dr. Sam Sugar (I do not this), titled "Obesity is bad for the Brain."
This was a new one on me, so I read the article, made some notes, and did some research. Sure enough, a study conducted at the University of Florida (I flunked out of arch-rival Florida State University in 66, myself) came to the conclusion that obesity in very young children could be linked to decreased intelligence in recent years. Other studies by such organizations as Kaiser Permanente, and other information Harvard Medical School, and sites like WebMD.com helped fill in some blanks.
My curiosity was aroused by this thing about the brain being affected by obesity and visceral fat. So I went to dig a little more information to update what I had written back in ought-6, and found that, as I said, then, visceral fat was certainly a bad thing to have. What I did not expect was a couple of new problems that I discovered.
The dangers:
Fat visceral, also known as belly fat, abdominal fat, or intra-abdominal, has been known for some time to be a suspect "usual" in many cases of coronary heart disease, diabetes, sleep apnea, and a nasty little thing known as "Metabolic Syndrome".
Metabolic syndrome is a condition in which the individual experiences a combination of insulin resistance, high cholesterol and hypertension (high blood pressure). Since none of these things is good in itself and can contribute to other problems such as diabetes and heart disease, it is clear that having all three at once is a triple threat … and I mean threat.
I covered a lot of this in my other article, but I was not aware at the time the information was above that obesity, visceral fat that is obviously a deadly component is linked to intelligence, not only decreased in children but may be a factor (Only "may" so far) in the development of Alzheimer's disease in our senior population.
Obesity in general, and visceral fat as a special part of the villain who can cause damage over time, our kidneys, heart, eyes, arteries, and yes, even our brains. In Indeed, a Swedish study linked high body mass index (BMI) increased the risk of real loss of brain tissue in areas that control language, memory and hearing.
Visceral fat:
As the alternative name "abdominal fat" implies, visceral fat is located in the abdominal cavity and surrounds several major organs. Unlike "subcutaneous fat" that lies beneath the skin, visceral fat secretes inflammatory hormones that can cause organ damage (heart, kidneys, brain) at a cellular level. Thus, while obesity in general is a problem to be treated, visceral belly (Fat fat) in particular requires special and immediate attention.
You might have belly fat are:
The belly fat, fat visceral abdominal fat … all … can really only be effectively implemented and measured by MRI. A rule, however, is that if a man has a waist larger than 40 inches, or a woman has a waist of more than 35 cm are probably carrying a dangerous amount of visceral fat. To make matters worse, if something is not done, the fat Visceral can accumulate at a rate of four pounds per year, and above 45 years in men, 55 women, the risks increase with age as well.
The solution:
Some things you just can not do anything about it. Genetics, for example, accounts for between 30 percent to 60 percent of its tendency to accumulate belly fat. On the other hand, some things such as diet, activity level (yes, I'm talking about exercise), smoking and are within your control and can be the deciding factors in the battle against belly fat.
Just watch what you eat can be a step on the way to get rid of belly fat, but rarely works well by itself. Although actions such as change of saturated fats to unsaturated fats (corn oil, soybean oil, sunflower oil, fish) can produce good results, helping to reduce visceral fat, fighting obesity, at any level, almost always involves a combination of eating habits healthy and regular exercise.
Studies show that regular exercise done at least five times per week for at least 30 minutes to an hour will be the lowest level that can be used to reverse the accumulation of belly fat for most people. low intensity exercise or exercise done less frequently can stop the addition of abdominal fat, but generally do not reduce it. In fact, some studies have shown that less than ten minutes a day can be enough to prevent the accumulation of fat in the belly.
Visceral fat is not only ugly but can be deadly, as we saw. However, the same tools of good nutrition and regular exercise, which are important for overall health and weight management, can be used to combat belly fat too.
