Baby Cockatiel problem … parents bullying?

My pair of Cockatiels laid a clutch of three eggs and they are stunned and seem to be doing well. However, in unique occasion, a parent seems the young birds peck and pluck your head and wings of feathers. That is harmful or just remove the adult reathers old baby? Both parents seem to protect them when a hand is placed in the cage. I was also wondering how to train their young to fly and build the muscles of the wings without flying straight into the wall to stop. Any information would be gratefully received. Hi No, not to say that I was a "train" to fly. lol. I mean, when I let them out of the cage to fly around, they fly straight and only stopping when crashing into the far wall, and is quite a big room! Unfortunately, I have an Avery. Thanks for all your replies though. = 0)

Hello, It's very normal thing to see parents playing with the young, they always do in the wild, and sometimes they hurt them very seriously. I breed parrots and sees it very regularly. Parents usually peck the babies when they began to complain of being fed, this is the discipline of parents and crucial to the birds weening. Sometimes, however they are pecked when they are out of the nest to most no reason at all, I see a lot of this when the new chick is trying to eat alone when the father is trying to eat. I would not separate the pups his parents just yet, just monitor them very closely, and watch out for something very, very serious. As their birds to fly, I see why you want to do this your muscles, but most of the time after the bird has learned to fly freely they go wild. Then you must be willing to make that sacrifice. But their is a way to give them strong muscles of the wings, it is safe but will not let them fly freely where they could get hurt, and the bird will still be easily tamed and trained. This is what you do ………………. Get the bird to go on your finger, make sure they have a good grip or you could grab your feet not to fly. Then gently and slowly wave your finger up and down, the bird that to get your balance will start to flap their wings. The benefits of this procedure include: 1. Two wing muscles. The sensation of flying in March. It is 100% safe for your four birds. And it really is to train him to trust you, the same time!
