Losing fat vs Building Muscle?

I have recently taken up cycling. 3-4 days per week for approximately 8 miles (30 minutes per day) plus 15 minutes on the elliptical or jogging and six different machines for the arms and legs two to six times per week (rotating days). I noticed that I gained about 5 pounds of muscle and feel great. None of my clothes fit and my friends say I finally got a butt. My whole goal was to lose weight and tone. What am I doing wrong? I'm not doing a lot of cardio and weights I feel. I restructured a rountine I want to start trying next week. What do you think? Does it help me lose weight and tone up or bulk up? Monday SHAPE UP w / video Pesos Tuesday 30 minutes of jogging, 15 minutes by bike, YOGA Wednesday 30 min elliptical, 15 minutes CYCLING, ARMS MOVE Thursday 30 mins, 15 minutes CYCLING, PILATES Friday 30 min Elliptical, 15 minutes CYCLING, LEGS Saturday 30 MINS Treadclimber, 3 miles WALK

When you make the machines, use lighter weights and do fewer sets of more repetitions (hypothetical example: instead of using 35 pounds, doing 3 sets of 15, you should use 25 pounds and do two sets of 40). . . you may also want to try just making machines twice a week, once to the arms and legs, maybe once to think about using a cardio (aerobics), video instead of a force (weight) on Mondays video perhaps only cycling two days per week (T & Th) instead of four days and you are not cycling more (W & F), added that for every 15 minutes other cardio you were already doing (elliptical) discover your body fat percentage (for a woman from 0.18 to 25% is healthy 16-20% is attractive, is 15% of the bare minimum – much smaller and you put yourself at risk for cessation of menstruation). . . you sound very active and you may have arrived at point where you are in lower body fat and healthy for your body when you exercise, your body builds muscle, because there excess fat to burn (I have the same problem), if all else fails. . . exercise less (Strange I know, but if you're just building muscle when you work out, not exercising both still keep you healthy, but not build much muscle)
