Muscle Building Vs Strength Training

strength training vs body building?
which would be better for strength training:
3 full body routines 3 times per week (but different exercises for each muscle group) with 3 sets each group
Or
2 split routines (2 exercises per each muscle group) and 1 full body?
i’m going for strength not looks
If you are going for strength, I would opt for working each muscle once a week, splitting the body up so it is worked over the course of 3 different workout. I like to give each muscle a full week to recover and then hit it hard after that week. I have done it where it is more often but find that my progress stalls after a little while.
